The photo shows the precise micro electron beam welding of 2 different metals (molybdenum and platinum) with a heat affected zone width of a few hundred microns.

This example of bonding is relevant for air and space application such as traveling wave tubes.

Our goal is to provide a tool that can precisely dose the heat applied to the welding area to within a few watts and tens of microns.
