In our laboratory in Hünstetten (near Frankfurt am Main, Germany) both technologies can be demonstrated! Especially, we are presenting our new unique ELWIS (Electron & Laser Beam Welding Integrated System) research system – a machine with an easily exchangeable micro-beam welding generator. One can use a focused electron beam or a laser beam in the same system – it takes no more than a quick switch of the heat source.
